Ingredients: |
6 oz. fresh or frozen Chinese pea pods 10 oz. boned and trimmed tender beef steak, cut into thin strips 3 tablespoons peanut oil 1 large onion, cut in thin strips 1 cup thinly sliced celery 2 cloves garlic, minced | 4 oz. fresh mushrooms, sliced 1 beef bouillon cube dissolved In 1/2 cup boiling water 2 tablespoons corn starch blended with 1/4 cup cold water 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon medium sherry 1 teaspoon sugar |

Instructions: |
In large skillet, heat the oil; add beef and cook over high heat stir constantly until it loses its red color; remove with a slotted spoon.
To skillet add onion, celery, garlic and mushroom; cook gently until still crisp; add pea pods and stir until heated through. Mix remaining ingredients and add with beef. Cook over moderate heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens. Serve over rice. |
