Lasagna 2

  Yield/Servings: 6 to 8 servings  
Ingredients:
1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic
1 small onion
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
4 oz. black olives
16 oz. tomato sauce
12 oz. tomato paste
10 oz. long lasagna noodles
3 cups cottage cheese
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 lb. mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup romano cheese
 
 
Instructions:
Brown meat slowly. Add garlic and onion. Cook until clear. Drain grease. Add salt, oregano, basil, tomato sauce end paste. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cook noodles in lots of salted boiling water. Add mushrooms and olives to meat sauce. Drain noodles and rinse immediately in cold water until cooled.

Layer mixtures as follows: noodles, meat sauce, cottage cheese, parmesan cheese, romano cheese, mozzarella cheese. Repeat.

Bake about 30 minutes in 350 degree oven. Let stand 20 minutes before cutting the squares to serve.
