Escalloped Oysters and Noodles with Batter-Fried Shrimps
4 cups cooked noodles 1 pt. oysters 2 tbsp. butter 1/2 cup water in which noodles were cooked 1/2 cup oyster liquid
Place alternate layers of noodles and oysters in greased baking dish, season with pepper, dots of butter and the water. Cover with buttered crumbs, bake 20 minutes in hot oven, 400 degrees. Cover top with shrimps.
Dip each cooked shrimp into thick batter, drop into hot fat, 375 degrees, and fry until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
