Preheat oven to 325 degree. In small saucepan, combine sugar, butter and water; bring just to boil. Remove from heat. Add chocolate and vanilla; stir until chocolate melts. Transfer to large bowl. Beat in eggs. one at a time. In small bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add flour mixture to chocolate batter. Blend in 1 cup chopped nuts. Spread in 13 x 9 x 2 inch greased baking pan. Bake at 375 degree for 50 minutes. Cool; cut into 1 1/2 inch squares. Makes 4 dozen. |
