2 lbs. lean veal 2 tbsp. shortening 1 large onion, diced 1 tbsp. paprika 1 cup tomato puree (sieved tomatoes) 1 cup sour cream or milk | |

Instructions: |
Cut meat into serving pieces and brown in hot shortening with onion, a sprikling of salt, and paprika. Add tomatoes and milk. Cover pan and simmer for about 1 hour. (Add additional liquid if needed.) Thicken gravy with flour moistened to a thin paste with water. |
