Mix together thoroughly: butter, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla. Sift together and stir in: flour and salt. Mix in chopped nuts. Chill dough. Roll into 2 inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 400 degree until set, but not brown. While still warm, roll in confectioners' sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again. Approx. 4 dozen 1 1/2 inch cookies.
Comments: May use green and red decorative sugar for holiday cookies. Also my double recipe for larger amount of cookies. |
