1 tbs. butter 6 or more frankfurters 1 medium onion 1 cup (4 oz.) elbow macaroni, uncooked 1 tsp. salt 1 - 16 oz. can tomatoes 1 1/2 cups water 2/3 cup grated Tillamook cheddar cheese 1/2 green pepper (optional) | |

Instructions: |
Melt butter in Dutch oven. Cut frankfurters in half lengthwise. cut each half in 3 pieces. Saute frankfurters, onion (chopped), and green pepper (chopped) in butter about 10 minutes or until franks are browned. Sprinkle macaroni over top. Add salt, tomatoes and water. Cover and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer stirring occasionally, until macaroni is just tender, about 12 minutes. Stir in cheese and simmer until cheese melts. Serve immediately. Makes 4 servings |
