1 lb. potatoes 1 cup flour Salt and pepper Hot deep shortening
Boil potatoes, drain, mash and season them. Place on a pastry board, mix flour with them. Spread resulting paste out 1/4 inch thick on board with floured rolling pin. Cut out with small biscuit cutter. Fry in deep hot shortening until golden brown in color, then drain on absorbent paper. Sprinkle with salt and serve.
