Combine rhubarb with 1/2 to 1 cup sugar. Turn into greased baking dish. Melt butter slightly, stir in the 1 cup sugar, flour, cinnamon, salt and nuts. Pack over fruit and bake 400 degrees for 40 minutes, or until rhubarb is tender. Serve plain, or with whipped cream, cream Kool-whip or ice cream. Makes 4 - 6 servings.
Comments: I double the recipe and bake in a 7 x 12 Pyrex dish 400 degrees. I cut down on sugar because we like Kool-whip on top :) |
