Jumbo Raisin Cookie

Ingredients:

2 cup raisins
1 cup water
1 cup shortening
2 cups sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
4 cups sifted flour
1 cup walnuts 1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
12 tsp. soda
2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. allspice

Instructions:
Add 1 cup water to 2 cups raisins and heat for 5 minutes. Cool. Cream shortening and sugar, add vanilla and cooled raisins. Sift dry ingredients and add to raisin mix. Blend well. Add nuts. Chill dough. Drop by tsp. on floured-greased pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for about 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
