3-4 pounds venison steak or chuck roast 2 medium onions, diced 3 bell peppers, diced 2 Anaheim peppers, diced 8 medium tomatoes 1 clove garlic 1 1/2 tbs. cumin powder | 3 tbs. chili powder 1 32-ounce can Ortega green chili salsa 1 32-oz. can spicy tomato sauce 1/4 tsp. ground oregano 2 tsp. jalapeno hot sauce salt if needed beer to replenish liquid |
Instructions: Dice meat into small cubes. Saute with onions, garlic and peppers until meat is sealed. Use very large pan. Add remainder of ingredients except salt and bring to a boil. Simmer with lid on for 1-3 hours. Taste and add salt and additional spices if necessary. Serve over beans or rice. Good burrito filling. This makes alot, especially if cooked beans are added. Freeze unused portions for later use. | |
