Beef Enchilada Casserole

1 lb. sharp cheese
1 lb. hamburger
1 clove garlic
1 medium onion, chopped
12 can cram of chicken soup
2 can cream of mushroom soup
1 dozen corn tortillas
12 can Mexicorn
1 can enchilada sauce
1 can green chilies, cut in strips (optional)

Cook the hamburger with garlic and onion until done. Dip tortillas in warm enchilada sauce and line greased pan or casserole with tortillas.

Add in layers: 1/2 meat, 1/2 cheese, 1/2 soups, 1/2 corn, and 1/2 chilies. Repeat. Cover and bake at 375 degrees 30-40 minutes. A 13 x 9 inch pan may be used and covered with foil or a large casserole would be OK.

Comments: This recipe comes from Hoe's sister in New Mexico and it's an old time family favorite.
