Corn and Date Muffins

1 cup sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 cup cornmeal, dry
1 egg, well beaten
1 cup milk
2 tbsp. melted butter
1/2 cup cut dates

Mix and sift dry ingredients, add egg, milk, butter and dates.

Bake in well-greased muffin pans, in a hot oven, 400 degree, about 25 minutes.
