Apple Butter Muffins

Ingredients:

1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg, well beaten
1/2 cup apple butter
1/2 tsp. soda
1/4 cup chopped nuts 1/4 cup chopped raisins
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup milk

Instructions:
Cream shortening and sugar, mix in egg thoroughly. Add apple butter to which soda has been added, then the nuts and raisins. Add remaining sifted dry ingredients alternately with the milk.

Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full; bake in hot oven, 400 degree. Bake 20-25 minutes.
