6 veal chops 1 sliced onion 6 slices of carrot 2 whole cloves Few peppercorns | 2 tbsp. shortening Boiling water to cover Cooked macaroni 2 cups sliced onion, cooked |
Instructions: Place chops, onion, carrot, and spices in saucepan with shortening and enough water to cover the meat. Simmer until tender, drain, season with salt and pepper. Dip chops in egg, roll in flour, fry in hot fat until brown. Serve with cooked macaroni and onion sauce. | |
