2 cups (1 lb.) split peas 10 cups cold water 1 1/2 pounds lean pork 3/4 cup onion, chopped 3/4 cup raw carrots, diced 1 tsp. salt (depends on meat used) | 1/4 tsp. sugar 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. thyme 1/4 tsp. powdered ginger 1/4 tsp. butter |
Instructions: Combine meat, spices, onion, and carrots and cook until done. Then add peas and cook one hour. | |
