Vegetable Beef Soup

Ingredients:
4 large potatoes (chopped)
flour
4 large onions, chopped
2 large cans stewed tomatoes
1 can corn
6 carrots
2 pounds lean, trimmed stew meat
1 medium-size can tomato puree
2 cloves garlic
2 tbs. salt
1 tbs. pepper
1 tbs. monosodium glutamate
1 to 2 whole bay leaves
5 quarts water
 
Instructions:

Add onions, garlic (diced very small), salt, pepper, tomatoes, carrots (diced) to water and bring to boil. Then add rest of ingredients except corn. Brown meat with flour - scrape all meat and drippings into soup mixture and add corn.
