Baked Mackerel, Mustard Sauce

  Yield/Servings: 6 servings  
 
Ingredients:
Mackerel, cut in fillets
Salt and pepper
Fine sifted bread crumbs
melted butter
Mustard Sauce:

2 tbsp. flour
3 tbsp. dry mustard
2/3 cup butter
1 2/2 cup boiling water
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. hot sauce
3 tbsp. lemon juice
 
Instructions:

Dip mackerel fillet in milk, sprinkle with salt, roll in bread crumbs. Place on greased baking pan, dot with butter, bake quickly in hot oven. Serve with Mustard Sauce.

Sauce:
Blend combined mustard and flour with the butter, dissolve in the hot water and cook as for white sauce. Season with remaining ingredients.
