Oatmeal Crunch

Ingredients:

1 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1 1/3 cups flour
1 cup quick cooking rolled oats
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Instructions:
Cream butter with brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir in remaining ingredients. Press into bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

For a crisper bar, bake in a 15 x 10 inch pan for 20-25 minutes. For frosting sprinkle 1/2 cup chocolate pieces on hot bars. Spread to frost.
