Banana Cake 2

Yield/Servings: 8 inch

Ingredients:

2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs 1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups banana pieces
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 cup nuts

Instructions:
Heat oven to 350 degree. Grease and flour two 8 inch pans. Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together into large mixing bowl. In blender put sugar, shortening, buttermilk, bananas, eggs and vanilla and mix until smooth. Add nuts, continue to mix only until chopped. Pour into dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into prepared pans and bake 35-40 minutes. Cool in pan for 5 minutes before removing.
