Caramel Frosting

  Yield/Servings: 3 cups  
 
Ingredients:
1/2 cup very hot evaporated milk
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/4 cup soft butter
1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/2 to 4 cups confectioners' sugar, sifted
 
Instructions:

Put all ingredients except confectioners' sugar into blender. Liquefy until smooth. Pour into mixing bowl and add 3 cups of the confectioner's sugar. Mix well with rotary beater or wooden spoon. Add more sugar gradually until frosting is of spreading consistency.
