1 3-pound fryer chicken, cut up 2 carrots, sliced 2 onions, salted 2 celery stalks 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 tsp. coarse black pepper 1/2 cup water or chicken broth | |
Instructions: Place carrots, onions and celery (stalks with leaves cut in 1 inch pieces) in bottom of crock pot. Cut up chicken and place on top of vegetables. Add salt, pepper and liquid. Sprinkle basil over top. | |
