Toll House Squares

Ingredients:

3 cubes butter (1 1/2 cups) softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
3 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. water
3 eggs
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
2 1/2 cups quick rolled oats
3 1/2 cups flour
2 cups chopped walnuts

Instructions:
Combine all ingredients. Grease and flour 2, 8 x 11 inch baking pans.

Bake in 375 degree oven for 4 minutes. Remove from oven, marbleize with knife, then bake 12--15 minutes longer or until done (don't over bake).

Cool completely, then cut into 1 inch squares.
