Stir together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, ginger and salt. Mix butter and sugar in large mixing bowl. Add corn syrup and egg, mix thoroughly. Stir in flour mixture until blended. Add raisins and nuts; mix thoroughly. Roll into 1 inch balls; place on ungreased baking sheet, 2 inch apart. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.
Bake in 350 degrees oven 8-10 minutes or until browned. Makes 6 dozen 2 inch cookies.
