| 1 cup shortening 1 1/2 cups sugar 3 eggs 3 cups unsifted flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla or lemon | |
| Instructions: | |
| Preheat oven to 375 degree. Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, beat until smooth. Add vanilla. Combine dry ingredients. Gradually add to creamed mixture. Drop by rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. | |
