Apple Pudding with Butter Sauce |

Ingredients: |
Sauce: 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup evaporated milk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla | Pudding: 4 cups apples, unpeeled 2 cups sugar 1/2 cup oil or shortening 2 tsp. vanilla 2 tsp. cinnamon 2 eggs 2 cups sifted flour 2 tsp. soda 1 tsp. salt |

Instructions: |
Mix sauce ingredients. Heat in double boiler. If it curdles, beat with rotary beater.
Pudding: Combine apples and sugar -- let stand. Beat eggs slightly, beat in oil and vanilla. Sift together flour, soda, salt and cinnamon. Stir alternately with apple-sugar mixture. Pour into greased and floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degree for about 1 hour. |
