Ingredients: |
1/4 cup butter 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla 1/2 cup milk
Batter: 1 1/2 cups flour, sifted 3 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup sugar | Streusal:
1/2 cup brown sugar 2 tablespoons flour, sifted 2 teaspoon cinnamon 1 tablespoons melted butter (not margarine) 1/2 cup chopped nuts |

Instructions: |
Sift together the batter ingredients. Cut in 1/4 cup butter with the sifted dry ingredients. Beat in egg, milk and vanilla. Blend into batter.
Pour half batter in greased 6 x 10-inch pan.
Combine streusal ingredients together. Sprinkle half of the streusal over batter in pan. Add remaining batter and top with remaining streusal. Bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees. Do NOT substitute anything for the butter in the topping. |
