Chili Rellenos

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
2 cups chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 4-oz. cans green chilies
1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar or
jack cheese
4 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup flour
hot pepper sauce
 
 
Instructions:
In skillet, brown hamburger and onion. Drain off fat. Sprinkle meat with 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper. Arrange 1 can chilies in 20 x 6 x 1 1/2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese and top with meat -- arrange remaining chilies and meat over top. Combine eggs with flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and several dashes hot pepper sauce and pepper. Beat until smooth and pour over chili mixture.

Bake at 350 degree for 45-50 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. May be served with enchilada sauce.
