6 pork chops (1/2 inch thick) 3 tbs. fat 3/4 cup tomato catsup 1 small bay leaf 1 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 1/2 tsp. ground mustard 1 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. cloves | |

Instructions: |
Melt fat in fry pan over moderate heat. Brown chops well in the fat. Season with salt and pepper. Mix remaining ingredients and pour over chops. Cover and cook over low heat 1 1/2 hours, or until chops are tender. If desired, vegetables to be served with the chops may be cooked in open casserole on the steamer plate. Green lima beans are nice with the chops. |
