Frozen Vegetable Cooking

Slightly undercool vegetables and allow 5 minutes standing time before serving.

If you cook your vegetables in the pouch, cut a large "X" in the pouch. Place in a glass casserole, with the "X" side down, add no water. Reduce the cooking time slightly from what is shown in the chart.

Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Stir after 3 min. to separate.

Beans, Green or Wax10-oz. pkg.6-7 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Add 2 teaspoons water and stir after 3 1/2 min. to separate.

Broccoli10-oz. pkg.7-8 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Stir after 4 min. to separate.

Brussel Sprouts10-oz. pkg.4-6 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Add 2 teaspoons water and stir after 2 min. to separate.

Carrots10-oz. pkg.5-7 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Add 2 tablespoons water and stir after 3 min. to separate.

Cauliflower10-oz. pkg.4-6 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Stir after 2 min. to separate.

Corn   (on the cob)10-oz. pkg.4-6 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Add 2 teaspoons water and stir after 2 min. to separate.

Corn   (cut from cob)2 ears4-6 min.
Place ears of corn in 1-qt. covered casserole. Add 1/4 cup hot water. Turn ears after 2 min.

Onions10-oz. pkg.5-6 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Stir after 3 min. to separate.

Peas10-oz. pkg.4-6 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Stir after 2 min. to separate.

Peas & Carrots10-oz. pkg.5-7 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Stir after 3 min. to separate.

Peas, Black-eye10-oz. pkg.8-10 min.
Place 1-qt. covered casserole. Add 1/4 cup water. Stir after 4 min. to separate.

Spinach10-oz. pkg.4-6 min.
Place in 1-qt. covered casserole. Stir after 2 min. to separate.

Vegetables, Mixed10-oz. pkg.4-6 min.
Place in 1-qt. covered casserole. Add 2 tablespoons water. Stir after 2 min. to separate.
